Point A Turn Director @ Baylands:
For this job, we need a coach or parent volunteer.
The person to perform the job will stand at point A (shown in the map below) for the entire meet or the races they have been assigned.
The job is to ensure runners are going in the correct direction along the correct path.

After the start, they will be going from point A to point B.

The runners will make a loop, and you will see them coming from point D to point A. You want them to continue to point B.

Now the runners will be coming from point B to point A. They should stay on the path heading towards point D.
Make sure to pay attention to the slower runners at the end of each race. It is these runners who often get confused. The most common mistake is the runner turning to go up the path that crosses with the path they should run on, which leads from the parking lot up to the start line.
Awards & Rules @ Crystal Springs:
A coach or volunteer is needed to hand out/organize awards for the Championship meet.
(Typically, Becki is available to handle this task) Thank you!
All Wilcox coaches will need to keep an eye out for Crystal Springs Course Rule violations at SCVAL #2 and the SCVAL Championship.
Please pay special attention to people with dogs, as we need to have them leave unless their animal meets the course definition of a service animal.
Crystal Springs Course Rules (For Reference):
- No double parking even for a moment!
- Do not block any driveways at any time.
- No athlete waiting for rides on the street
- Athletes do not step onto anyone's property (even the corner).
- All warm-ups & cool-downs must be done inside the park.
- No drones
- No smoking
- No dogs or other animals
- No throwing of anything (rocks, frisbees, etc)
- No bikes or motor vehicles of any kind
- No music on speakers
- No glass containers
