Course Rules & Awards
Point A Turn Director @ Baylands:
For this job, we need a coach or parent volunteer.
The person to perform the job will stand at point A (shown in the map below) for the entire meet or the races they have been assigned.
The job is to ensure runners are going in the correct direction along the correct path.

After the start, they will be going from point A to point B.

The runners will make a loop, and you will see them coming from point D to point A. You want them to continue to point B.

Now the runners will be coming from point B to point A. They should stay on the path heading towards point D.
Make sure to pay attention to the slower runners at the end of each race. It is these runners who often get confused. The most common mistake is the runner turning to go up the path that crosses with the path they should run on, which leads from the parking lot up to the start line.
Finish Area Flushing @ Crystal Springs:
Boys Varsity 2, F/S Boys, and Varsity 2 Girls races
Two people: coaches or forceful, vocal parents, not people who would just watch or talk softly.
Role/Job:

Arrive on time.

Direct kids out of the finishing area and assist them if necessary.

Keep spectators and coaches out of the finish area.

Get medical attention for athletes as needed.
Course Rules Director @ Crystal Springs:
Observe the race area and report rule violations to the race director (look for):

Dogs

Bikes
-
Drones
-
Rock throwing, football or soccer-like games.
Schools associated with violations are subject to fines and disciplinary action.
Awards @ Crystal Springs (Championship ONLY):

Awards ceremony for both leagues (JV & Varsity) at 4:45 PM (places 1-5 & team awards).

Awards table near Records Shed for places 6 to 10 in JV and 6 to 15 in varsity.
