Milesplit has two options for coaches to add their current roster.

1. Manual Entry and Sport Selection

2. Use of their roster importer.

The problem with the roster importer documentation

Milesplit does not provide good documentation on what optional fields can be imported.

Their template files available for download are different from one another and do not have all the available optional columns or indicate what would be valid values for the optional fields.

Why are we posting this

We personally reached out to FloSports support to get clarity on the discrepancies between the multiple template files and the graphic of a spreadsheet's header, with a couple of mock data rows, which they have on the website. We wanted to know what optional columns the importer would recognize and what values would be valid for those.

Unfortunately, FloSports support does not acknowledge (we interacted with 4 different support agents) that any fields besides the required fields will work with the roster importer. BUT this is NOT true!

We are posting this to save others the trouble of testing the various options based on investigations and multiple rounds of trial-and-error testing through the importer.
