Picking up Athletes

​We understand some households may have situations that make it difficult for a parent/guardian to pick up their athlete/s from events which do not have a return bus.​​

​

For this reason we provide the following options
 

1. Students with a driving license
   May drive themselves only. They may not drive other students.
    

2. Have an authorized designated family member or family friend pick them up
   Parent/guardian must email the head coach to authorize who will be picking the athlete/s up.
   The designated family member of family friend must be an adult who is not currently attending high school.

Rules for leaving from a meet

 

1. Athletes must return timing chip and pins before vacating the meet premises.
    

2. The parent/guardian or authorized adult who will pick the athlete up must check the athlete out, in person with one of the teams coaches, if the meet has not finished for Wilcox, or all teams.
   (At some meets we may not be competing in every race. As such the meet may not be done for everyone but it may be no other Wilcox team is competing. At that point no checkout would be necessary.)

3. No drive-up pick-up allowed. The adult picking an athlete up must park. This is especially important at the Crystal Springs Cross Country Course.
