Race Day Info​​​​​

  • All relay members must report as a team & be ready to provide the order

  • # of heats per event will be announced before the 4x4.
    Please plan your warm-up accordingly.​​​​
    ​

  • Baton passes:

    • No disqualification for dropped batons​

    • Should be passed roughly within the zone (large blue triangles)

    • Non-blind handoffs OK

  • Post-race activities

    • Help with breakdown

    • Join the group dinner at a nearby restaurant after.​​

Sparkling Cider Mile Rules​​​

  1. Runners start by drinking their first (8oz) of sparkling cider at the gun.

  2. Before doing each lap, they need to perform an inspection, 
    which consists of tipping their cup over their head.
    (a few drops okay, more is a disqualification or penalty lap)

  3. Each lap, runners must only drink within the Sparkling Cider Zone
    (From the sparkling cider table to the finish line - 9 meters).

  4. If a runner vomits, they must either

    1. Drop out

    2. Perform a penalty lap after the 4th lap.

Prohibited Behaviours:

  • No shaking of cider

  • No staws or mechanical advantage devices

  • No runner should be handed their cider cup

​

Disqualifications

  • Not drinking the full volume

  • Leaving the Cider Zone with an unfinished cup

  • Tampering with the cup

  • Cutting the track

  • Not performing an inspection

​

Notes:

  • Participants are advised not to overdrink before the event

  • All cider will be at ambient temperature

  • If you need to drop out, do so.
