Volunteer Drivers

(Including coaches & partents)

Throughout the season we encourage our runners to participate in various off-site practice sessions and Saturday meets. Therefore we need as many drivers as possible to enable all our athletes who wish to participate to be able to do so.

In order to be a volunteer driver, one must be approved by the district.
The steps for approval are laid out below.

Previously Approved Drivers

One must submit the following.
 

  • A completed "Annual Authorization for Volunteer Drivers" form to the Wilcox principal's secretary. 

    • This simple one-page form includes your name, driver's license # & license expiration date.

  • A copy of insurance coverage which shows a minimum coverage of the following:

    • $100k per person of bodily injury

    • $300k per occurrence coverage

    • $50k property coverage

  • A copy of Form K-4 from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

Initial Approval Request

One must submit the documentation above except Form k -4 must instead be Form H -6 from the DMV. This form can not be obtained online. The cost is $5.

The initial request to be approved as a volunteer driver will take longer as fingerprinting is required to be performed at the district office.
